My thesis focuses on the ecological and social determinants of individual variations in seasonal reproduction and their consequences in terms of fitness (for both mother and offspring) in 2 wild primate populations: chacma baboons in Namibia (Tsaobis Baboon Project) and mandrills in Gabon (Mandrillus Project).
The study involves analysis of long-term life-history trait data, coupled with physiological, morphological and behavioral measurements taken in the field for both populations.
