The European Human Behaviour and Evolution Association (EHBEA) brings together international researchers from the evolutionary sciences and the humanities who are interested in the physiological and behavioural adaptations of the human species. The evolutionary approach, by taking into account natural selection processes and evolutionary trade-offs, has opened up numerous avenues for understanding cognition, behavior and human societies. Thanks to the interdisciplinary nature of the research presented, the annual EHBEA conferences help to advance scientific thinking on subjects such as behavioral ecology, evolutionary psychology, cultural evolution and evolutionary medicine. The conference was held in Helsinki in 2015, London in 2016 and 2023, Paris in 2017, Pécs in 2018, and Toulouse in 2019. Montpellier, where it was held in 2008, has been selected once again to host the event in 2024. The conference, organized by the Institut des Sciences de l'Evolution de Montpellier (ISEM), will take place at the prestigious and recently opened Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional.
